A bit of history :

The village lands were occupied as early as the 3rd century.

The church of Notre-Dame was under the patronage of the abbot of Saint-Ouen de Rouen.

But who would have thought, when contemplating this venerable church, that this beautiful building is literally upside down ? In other words, the choir is in place of the original portal and vice versa. What has got into the abbots of Saint-Ouen de Rouen, the lords of this place, to disrupt the ancient layout of the building at the end of the 18th century, to which the elegant bell tower dating from the second half of the 12th century (and restored in 1899) still bears witness.
It was originally located at the entrance to the choir and rested on a triumphal arch, now replaced by the wall of the neoclassical façade !

The little something that makes this village

Near the church there are important remains of the manor house and a large 16th century barn, listed in the French Supplementary Historic Monument List, visible from the road (private property).
