Un peu d’histoire :
Autrefois, la commune s’appelait Epreville-la-Campagne. On y a découvert les vestiges d’une ville gallo-romaine.
La plus grande partie d’Epreville a appartenu jusqu’en 1140 à la famille d’Harcourt qui en donna les biens et le patronage de l’église aux Templiers. La grange dîmière d’Epreville, située « rue de la Grange du Temple », est une construction remarquable par son architecture monumentale, qui pourrait remonter au XVIe siècle (propriété privée).
L’église Saint-Pierre est une construction en silex et assises de pierres composée d’une nef reconstruite au XVIe siècle et d’un chœur rectangulaire du XIVe siècle très incliné au sud de l’axe de la nef. Près de l’église se dresse son if, classé depuis le 30 juillet 1934.

A bit of history :
In the past, the commune was called Epreville-la-Campagne. The remains of a Gallo-Roman town have been discovered here.
Until 1140, most of Epreville belonged to the Harcourt family, who gave the property and the patronage of the church to the Templars. The tithe barn of Epreville, located in the “rue de la Grange du Temple”, is a remarkable building with monumental architecture, which could date back to the 16th century (private property).
The church of Saint-Pierre is a flint and stone construction consisting of a nave rebuilt in the 16th century and a 14th century rectangular choir, which slopes steeply to the south of the axis of the nave. Near the church stands its yew tree, listed since 30 July 1934.

Cette association nationale, reconnue d’utilité publique, œuvre pour l’insertion professionnelle des personnes malades ou en situation de handicap. La salle des fêtes porte son nom et un buste à son effigie a été érigé sur la D133 traversant le village.

Suzanne Fouché, founder of ADAPT, was born in the commune. This national association, recognised as being of public utility, works for the professional integration of people who are sick or disabled. The village hall bears her name and a bust of her has been erected on the D133 road running through the village.
